Ms. Corinne Di Stephan presently serves as the Funded Programs Director for the Lutheran Schools Association, after retiring from her position as principal of Grace Lutheran Day School, Queens Village for 21 years. Following graduation from Queens College, she taught Social Studies and English for several years in a public NYC junior high school, while pursuing a Masters in Secondary Education at Queens College. Raising four children subsequently removed her from full-time positions for a number of years but she took on several short term positions at the same JHS and at Grace Lutheran, Q.V. She returned to Queens College in the early 1980’s and received her Specialist Diploma in School Administration. As principal of Grace, she was the first recipient of the LSA Administrator of the Year award and represented NY on a national group of LCMS Urban Principals for many years. She also participated in a number of leadership training conferences. In her “part-time” LSA position, she serves on the Committee for Non-Public School Officials for NYC and meets frequently with Lutheran School educators.
